Let’s get crafted with this first (Thanksgiving) DIY the Thanksgiving’s ROSACES !
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and making some crafts is the best way to wait and stay on the nice list until Christmas 😇
To be honest, I had completely forgotten this craft classic and I’m thrilled to bring it back !! Have you seen the big decor impact it has, Rosaces are simply stunning ! Need I add effortlessly stunning !
So without further waiting, for this DIY – the Thanksgiving’s ROSACES, all you need is :
- some papers, mine are gift wrap papers from Ikea,
- some string,
- glue or double-sided tape, and
- your scissor.
To start,
cut a rectangle shape in your paper. Here it’s a letter US format dimension.

Then concertina the paper,

Fold the paper in half and mark crease. Next tie a piece of string to hold it.

It’s now time to shape your rosace. Here I just give a round shape at the ends. But the possibilities are infinite. Look below for more (pictures) inspiration !

Almost there, glue together your half rosace – where you mark the middle. And repeat the previous step to get a second half rosace.

Last, you can glue together your two half rosaces to get THE ONE ✨

Et voilà, done ! And I bet you’re ready for a next one, and a next one… let’s say some because rosace can be quite addictive ! Feel free to experiment, vary sizes and cuttings to get some wonderful rosaces with light coming through and poetic drawings ✨

I highly recommend to practice this DIY at home. I guarantee you’ll feel better and proud of yourself ! Plus Rosace works well for any decor occasion even just give a color touch to your bedroom 😉
